DID SOMEONE SAY SOUTHSIDE TITANS BOXING?

That's right...We have set up a Southside Titans Boxing Club.  Start scheduling your calendars and preparing for our second boxing event at the Salvation Army Boys & Girls Club Gymnasium on Saturday, June 26th, 2010.  It is located on S.E. 44th between Eastern and Bryant.  Boxing is an individual, but well respected disciplined sport.  We officially had our first ever boxing practice sessions on Monday, December 7th, 2009.  Our inaugural sanctioned event in January, 2010 was filled to capacity.  If you have children as young as age 7 up through the teenage years interested in taking part in this soon to be historical event, practices will be Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 6pm to 8pm.  We also have a few spots available for anyone interested in being a strength and conditioning coach and or trainer.  Please contact Coach Lavell Sims at 816-1013, or you can go to the "Boxing" page of our website.  We also have boxing available for the adults too on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 6p-8pm.  Once again, you can contact Coach Sims at the number listed above or via e-mail at coachlavell@southsidetitans.org .  His information and credentials is also listed on the "Boxing" page of our website.

I was also the head coach of the Army's first womens boxing team in 2001.  I was the head coach of the 2003 Army Womens National Championship Team.   As of 2008, I was named  the Tinker Air Force Base All  Services head coach.  I still hold that position and I am presently only one of three  coaches in the state of Oklahoma who is level III certified.  Again, if you are serious about developing your kids, teenagers, etc into disciplined, well respected individuals, I am your man.
